Join the panel: residential introductions for small regulated firms.

For SRA-authorised firms and licensed conveyancers. We introduce home movers who have asked for a solicitor or licensed conveyancer. You quote them directly and act for them under your own terms.

What is the Instrukt conveyancing panel?

A group of small regulated firms that receive residential conveyancing introductions from home movers and the agents who refer them, under a written agreement. Each client is told about any introduction fee and can choose another solicitor or licensed conveyancer.

Who can join

  • An SRA-authorised firm or a CLC-licensed practice
  • A client account run under your regulator's accounts rules (freelance solicitors don't hold client money, apart from money on account of their own fees and disbursements, so can't join)
  • Professional indemnity insurance for residential conveyancing
  • Residential conveyancing in England and Wales
  • To act for buyers with a mortgage: lender panel membership. Many lenders ask for at least two managers or partners and Law Society CQS accreditation

Freelance solicitors don't hold client money, apart from money on account of their own fees and disbursements (regulation 10.2(b) of the SRA Authorisation of Individuals Regulations and rule 2.1(d) of the SRA Accounts Rules).

The software, if you want it

Instrukt is practice software for property firms. SDLT, search priority and registration deadlines are worked out from each matter, completion statements are laid out for you to check, and clients follow progress in their own portal. It costs £79 per fee earner a month, or £22 per completed matter. No VAT is added.

The terms, in outline

  • A written introduction agreement between your firm and JG Core Ltd (trading as Instrukt). SRA-authorised firms must have any fee-sharing agreement in writing.
  • You tell each client about any financial or other interest in the introduction, and any introduction fee, before they instruct you. The client can always choose another solicitor or licensed conveyancer.
  • You quote each client directly and they pay you directly. We never tell you how to advise.
  • A short data sharing agreement for the enquiry details we pass you.
  • Agreed response times for new enquiries, so clients aren't left waiting.

For SRA-authorised firms, paragraph 5.1(a) of the SRA Code of Conduct for Solicitors, RELs, RFLs and RSLs requires you to tell clients about any financial or other interest you have in the referral. Separately, paragraph 5.1(c) requires any fee-sharing agreement to be in writing.

Final terms are sent with your application. General information, not legal advice.

Questions

What would we receive?
Enquiries from home movers who have asked to be introduced to a conveyancing solicitor, through instrukt.co.uk and the agents who refer to us: their contact details, the property, and where they are in the move. We are building this flow now, so we don't promise a volume.
Do we have to use the software?
No. The panel and the software are separate. Panel firms can use Instrukt to run their matters if they choose.
Is there a fee?
Any introduction fee is agreed in writing before the first introduction and disclosed to each client. We'll confirm the structure with each firm.
Can a sole practitioner join?
Yes, if the practice is SRA-authorised (a recognised sole practice) and runs its own client account. Freelance solicitors can't join: they don't hold client money, apart from money on account of their own fees and disbursements.
