Get introduced to a conveyancing solicitor

Tell us about your purchase, sale or remortgage and we'll introduce you to an independent solicitor regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. They send you their own quote and client care letter, and you decide whether to instruct them. Instrukt is not a law firm and doesn't do the conveyancing.

What happens next

  1. 1. A person reads your enquiry. We look for an independent solicitor who handles this kind of conveyancing.
  2. 2. We introduce you. Only with your permission. You'll have the solicitor's name and SRA number, and they contact you.
  3. 3. The solicitor sends their own quote. With their client care letter: the legal fee, the likely disbursements and what's included. The fee is theirs, not ours.
  4. 4. You decide. If you instruct them, you contract with and pay the solicitor directly. If you don't, nothing is charged.

Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own conveyancing law, handled by solicitors qualified there. You can still enquire, and we'll tell you straight away whether we can help.

How we're paid

We may be paid by the solicitors we introduce in two ways: a fee for introducing you, and a subscription for the practice software we sell to solicitors. The SRA Code requires the solicitor to tell you about any such financial interest before you instruct them, and we ask them to do so in writing. You are free to instruct any solicitor you like instead.

We do not introduce personal injury claims or criminal matters, where introduction fees are not allowed.

If you know it.

A band is enough. It helps the solicitor, and isn't a quote.

The first half is enough, e.g. LS6.

For example a mortgage, a chain, a new build, a gifted deposit or a deadline.
