How it works
Refer, with the client's agreement
A short form, a list upload, or your own link. The client agrees to be contacted first.
We introduce a solicitor
An independent, SRA-regulated property solicitor quotes the client before anything is agreed.
You follow it through
Each referral's progress in your portal, from enquiry to completion, without the client's private details.
Questions
Is there a referral fee?
Only if we agree one in writing before you refer. If there is, you tell your client the amount before recommending us, and the solicitor tells them about it too. Many partners refer without a fee because a represented tenant completes sooner.
Who acts for the client?
An independent property solicitor regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. The client instructs them directly and pays them directly. Instrukt is not a law firm and doesn't give legal advice.
What do I see in the portal?
Each referral's stage and dates, from enquiry to completion, and any fee we've agreed with you. Never the client's fees, documents or correspondence.
Can I refer a landlord's tenant if I act for the landlord?
Yes, as one option for independent advice. We take no payment from landlords, and the tenant's solicitor acts only for the tenant.
